We were pleased to welcome one of our European customers to the Beacon Industries factory for the final inspection and acceptance of a custom-built hydraulic scissor lift.
The lift was specially designed for cargo handling applications where the platform needs to be flush with the surrounding floor after lowering. To achieve this, we adopted a double-deck platform design. When the lift is fully lowered, the upper platform fills the pit opening, creating a flat surface that allows pedestrians and vehicles to pass safely over the area.

Although the customer's actual working load is expected to be no more than 2 tons, we designed and manufactured the lift with a 5-ton rated capacity. This higher design capacity provides a greater safety margin, improves structural rigidity, and helps ensure long-term reliability under continuous industrial use.
Factory Inspection
During the visit, the customer carefully inspected the lift's overall construction, welding quality, hydraulic system, electrical control system, and operational performance. A complete functional test was carried out, including lifting, lowering, and verifying that the upper platform aligned accurately with the surrounding floor when fully lowered.
