When installing the glass panels of a home lift enclosure, small details can make a big difference.
The glass is installed inside an aluminum alloy frame. If the glass sits directly against the aluminum frame, concentrated contact or uneven pressure may increase the risk of damage during installation or operation.
To avoid this, we use rubber glass setting blocks between the bottom edge of the glass and the aluminum frame.
Each rubber block can be divided into four sections, and normally two sections are placed underneath the glass, one near each side. The blocks provide a soft contact surface between the glass and aluminum frame while helping support and position the glass panel.
There is no need to place additional blocks on the top or sides in this installation method. After the glass is correctly positioned on the rubber blocks, the aluminum frame can be assembled and secured around it.
This simple component helps reduce direct contact between glass and metal, provides better support, and makes the glass installation more controlled and reliable.
