Home Lift Glass Enclosure Installation: Understanding Screws and Fixing Plates

Two metal expansion anchors of different lengths on a concrete floor for home lift enclosure installation.

When installing a home lift with a glass enclosure, each fixing component has a specific purpose. Understanding the different screws and metal plates before assembly can help customers identify the correct hardware for each part of the installation.

In this video, we demonstrate three types of accessories supplied for our home lift enclosure systems.

1. Long Screws for the Aluminum Frame

The longer screws are used to secure the aluminum enclosure frame to the wall or floor slab. Proper fixing is important for connecting the enclosure structure to the building.

2. Short Screws for Landing Door Handles

The very short screws, approximately 10 mm long, are intended for attaching the handles to the landing doors. Each landing door generally requires its own set of fixing screws.

3. Rectangular Fixing Plates for Enclosure Doors

You may also notice several rectangular metal plates with multiple holes on the floor in the video. These plates are used to secure the enclosure doors during installation.

Although these accessories are small compared with the main lift structure and glass panels, identifying their functions is an important part of understanding the installation process.

At Beacon Industries, we manufacture customized home lifts with different dimensions, enclosure styles, colors, and door configurations. We also provide the relevant installation hardware to support each project.

Before installation, always refer to the project-specific drawings and instructions to confirm the exact fixing positions and hardware requirements.
